Event Announcements & Reminders:
Event announcements and reminders are system generated by the computer and go out to everyone in the club and/or on our contact list.  Please do not reply to these as the mailbox from which they are sent is not monitored.

Directions:

Registration Start & End Dates; Cancellations; and Refunds
  • You are responsible for knowing the start and end registration dates, which are clearly posted in the event details.
  • If an end date is not listed in the event details, there isn't one (usually reserved for free drive events)
  • The end registration date is usually the date the club must pre-pay and give an accurate participant count to the venue host.
  • Refund requests submitted before the registration end date will be considered - the request must be approved by the event chair to be honored.
  • Refund requests submitted after the registration end date will not be honored.
  • Events not specifically sponsored by the SDJC are posted as a convenience to our members and the general public.  They might not have registration dates posted to this website.  Please refer to the host organization for their registration requirements.

    We survived the Holidays, now it is time to give our Cats some exercise!   Treat them to a good wash, fill them with fuel, and head to Temecula for the start of our road trip and overnight retreat in beautiful Palm Springs.

    Prepaid 3-Course Dinner

    You may choose one of the following entrées:

    ·       Pesto Crusted Salmon, olive tapenade, artichoke, oven dried tomato, parsley.

    ·       Grilled NY Strip, served with brandy peppercorn sauce

    ·       Chicken Breast Piccata, lemon butter, Chardonnay, caper, fresh herbs

    Salad: Traditional Caesar Salad

    Sides: Chef’s selection of appropriate starch assorted seasonal vegetable and freshly baked artisan rolls.

    Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake or NY Style Cheesecake

    We have negotiated a prepaid rate of $55 per person for dinner. If you prefer to charge the dinner to your room, please note that tax and service charges will be added.

    The starting point will be Starbucks in Vons at 33145 Temecula Parkway.  Arrive early to chat with your friends while enjoying a beverage.  Departure is scheduled for 10:00 AM - we will be driving the famous curvy Pines to Palms Scenic Byway to Palm Springs.

    12:00 approx. arrival and check in at the iconic Riviera Resort Palm Springs, made famous by the legendary Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pac.   The hotel characterized by Old Hollywood glamour with a fresh contemporary twist at the base of the majestic San Jacinto Mountains.  In the afternoon you may want to visit the Riviera’s full-service spa and salon or hop in your Jag and drive to the famous McCormick’s Auto Auction.  If you enjoy architecture, you may want to take advantage of the various tours and activities associated with Palm Springs’ Modernism Week.  If that is not enough, there are museums, galleries, hiking trails, golf, Palm Springs Tram, casinos and of course shopping!  Diah and Nedra will be publishing additional details for your entertainment in Palm Springs.


    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast pool side with your Jaguar friends before heading to the famous McCormick’s Spring Auction featuring Luxury and Classic Cars.   Car enthusiasts, collectors, and thrill-seekers alike will have the opportunity to bid on an extraordinary array of vehicles, ranging from timeless classics to modern exotics, or just sit back and relish in the beautiful cars on the auction block and enjoy the exciting bidding!  Featured highlights include a stunning 1930 Packard 740 Convertible, a paragon of pre-war luxury and design, as well as a sleek 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider, an icon of modern Italian engineering and performance. These are just two of the gems in a meticulously curated lineup of over 400 cars spanning nearly a century of automotive history.  For only $30 you can register as a bidder, which includes extra benefits for you and your guest. Even if you are not interested in buying a car it is always fun to walk the lot to see all the cars for sale and watch the fast-paced auction.  The cars start crossing the auction block at 10:00 sharp!

    • First, make your hotel reservations by calling 760-327-8311 or click the link below on RED.  Room rates for either a Standard King for two, or Standard Two Queen beds will be $229 (plus resort fee of $30).  Reservations must be made by January 31, 2026 to take advantage of our group pricing rate.  This rate will be applicable 3 days prior to our event and 3 days after our event, if case you want to extend your stay.   Please click here on this link to book the discount group rate for the room! Please note it does state $35 resort fee on the link, but it would be adjust at their end for $30.

    Drive to and Lunch at San Vicente Golf Resort 24517

    Plans are complete for the SDJC March event! We will again drive to San Vicente Golf Resort (SVGR) near Ramona for a tasty buffet lunch. Two routes are available:

    1. Southern route starting at Park and Ride Lot #20, I805 at 5196 Governor Drive

    2. Northern route starting at The Westfield Mall Rear Parking Lot, 298 East Via Rancho Parkway

    Both routes have great scenery over stretches of open landscape and hills. We will start gathering at 11:30 a.m. and depart at 12:15 p.m. for the ~45-minute drive to SVGR. Happy hour will begin about 1:00 p.m., with the buffet lunch to follow at 2:00 p.m.

    The Champagne Chicken Buffet includes Celebration Salad with mandarin oranges, feta cheese, candied walnuts, sweetened cranberries, thinly sliced red onion and raspberry vinaigrette dressing; Red Roasted Potatoes; Grilled Vegetables; Champagne Chicken; Sour Dough Rolls & Butter; Raspberry Cloud Cake; and Coffee and Iced Tea

       The luncheon price is $45/person, payable at the SDJC website.
